TRAVEL TEAM COACHING REQUIREMENTS
Complete/Update the following and upload to your SPORTS AFFINITY account.
- Clearances
The clearances you need include: Child Abuse, PA State Police and the FBI clearance or affidavit stating that you have lived in the state of Pennsylvania for at least ten years. These clearances are good for five years.
All information on the required clearances can be found at:
http://www.pawest-soccer.org/coaching/risk_management/
If your clearances have already expired, it should be easy to upload them to the sports affinity site. If they have not yet expired, you must email the State Registrar, Cheryl Mignogna, and she will remove the old documents. Her email address is: cheryl@pawest-soccer.org
- Safe Sport Training
In addition to clearances, all coaches and assistant coaches need to complete the Safe Sport training course, which must be renewed annually. The initial training should take approximately 90 minutes to complete, broken up into three segments which can be completed separately. Re-certification should take less than 20 minutes.
Here is the information you will need to login and register for the course:

Please complete the 11 V 11 training, as this will allow you to work with all age groups. The $90 fee will be reimbursed (email receipt/proof of purchase to our treasurer).
*Before taking the training course: Please set up a profile in the US Soccer Federation web site (www.ussoccer.com) Go to the Learning Center and set up profile and then watch the 20 minute free video "Introduction to Grassroots Courses".
